Havurot
Havurah is a community of friends
Often, being part of a large group can make it difficult for people to form
close relationships. A havurah allows those with common interests to form
small groups while still being part of the whole. Here is an opportunity
to get to know each other on a more personal level by sharing activities and
experiences together.
- Havurat Yehudah, for Young Families - families with children at home
- Havurat Hayim - a blend of families celebrating together
Each group plans it’s own activities and schedule. Often it’s
a Shabbat or Havdalah together in a relaxed home setting. It might be
a holiday play date or an evening discussion. Havurah offers the perfect
setting to get to know each other, form friendships and lend support.
In Judaism, it is not just the activity, but the community itself
that is sacred. |
