The Youth Education Program is the heart of the synagogue....

The Temple Judea Youth Education Program is a source of pride for our congregation. We are a true experiential learning center that embraces the philosophy: Children Learn By Doing.

Our school is a place where friendships are made, a place where every child is unique and valued, where every question is important and everyone is welcome. Throughout the years, families will be involved in many opportunities to share, to learn and to grow together.

Our Sunday morning Youth Program is for children Kindergarten through 7th grade. A professional staff, including art and music specialists, teach a creative, hands on curriculum of history, ritual, holidays, Jewish values and Torah.

Students 3rd through 7th grade also attend Hebrew classes on Wednesday evening. Our children not only prepare for B’nai Mitzvah but learn an appreciation of the language of prayer so they can step into any synagogue and feel at home in a worship service.

Here learning goes beyond the classroom walls with special events, celebrations and trips. We are supported by eager volunteers and the involved parents of Temple Judea.

Yom Ha’atzmaut was a wonderful event!  Thank you to all the families that hosted the Israeli dance

News- January 2009

Our holiday boutique was a big success! We were able to raise more funds than the year before! And with the funds that were raised we will be able to plan our future YEP playground next to our new school building. We couldn’t have done it without you the shoppers, and the help we got from so many dedicated parents and Temple Members!
